Spent minerals from the BreatheFree Litter Box Mate pads convert to an sodium nitrate an organic fertilizer.
When your pad is done absorbing the ammonia from the litter (approximately 30 days) you can dispose the minerals by cutting open the pad at the corner and sprinkling the minerals over grass or gardens. Nitrogen from the absorbed ammonia is then gradually released into the soil, serving as a fantastic organic fertilizer and beneficial ingredient to the earth.
