For sure, these are things that make us all go “hmmmmm.”<\/p>\n

Since we are pretty educated on litter box habits and how to get rid of litter box odor<\/a><\/strong>, we made it a priority to find out what these other habits really mean.<\/p>\n

First, boxes. A cat sees an empty box lying around, an immediately he’s inside it getting settled. Why? According to experts, cats are naturally inclined to look for potential hiding spaces.\u00a0The experience of jumping and sliding into a box resonates with their instinct to find protected spaces out in the wild where they are able to see their environment without being seen.<\/p>\n

Now, what about sitting on top of a TV or a computer keyboard. Why does that happen? While the TV and\/or computer are warm spaces, your cat isn’t sitting there for comfort, according to experts. Sure, the warmth feels good – but it’s attention your cat craves.\u00a0Sitting on your TV may be a sign that your cat wants interaction and attention trying to disrupt the attention you are giving to the device. A good way to test this is to see if they spend as much time with a device when you are not engaging with it.<\/p>\n

Another note about the TV or computer monitor, experts also believe the cats may be attracted to the visual stimulus on the screen. It’s not likely that your cat is seeing exactly what you see, but the moving image does engage them.<\/p>\n
